Safeguard (Springless)

This thing really makes me wonder why any of these devices have springs in the first place. You can still easily throw slack by holding the cam like we always do, and lock-up is immediate, even on modern skinny ropes...not to mention the utility for belaying from above, using in place of an MMO to take tension in a releasable way...and it's compact, lighter...and cheaper! I bought a second one.
