Medium Elite

So far, so awesome!

I am loving my Elite! After a call to Noah at Blue Alpine about my machine not starting, and realizing I decided to switch off the machine at its breaker, things have gone swimmingly! I’m still trying to sort out the whole Starburst candy thing, but otherwise all of my foods have dried very well. Lots of powdered tomato puree and freeze dried peppers and tomatoes have been produced, and some leftovers are in the machine as I type. I’m pretty happy right now—home grown apples are on deck.

So far, so good

Only have had it about a week and have done 2 complete runs; tomato-onion-green pepper AND white peach slices. Bananas are running now. A bit of a learning curve out of the box but getting there! Still newbies!

Issues

Its taken a bit of learning curve to get into production. I get a notification everytime a new load begins that the temp sensor for trays is disconnected. I have learned through trial and error that I have to repush the plugs into the socket even though it does not appear that the plug has moved. I believe that the changing temperatures in drying and defrost is pulling the socket out slightly and initiating the notification. I was surprised and disappointed in the actual amount of oil vapor emitted from the pump. It permeates the whole house from the basement. I tried the microcloth and it cut down the odor a bit. But not enough. So I ordered your replacement filter and hope that it will take care of the problem. For $185.00, I would have preferred to have the better filter on the machine i ordered even with additional cost less credit a credit for tge lesser filter. Even with issues, the final product is very good.
