Sensory seeking can turn a hallway into a safe place to jump and move.

Try a mini obstacle course with cushions to step over or a clear path for hopping. Keep it simple and supervise the play, so your child gets movement in a space you can manage. A few planned movement breaks can help meet sensory needs throughout the day. A little hallway course, then back to the routine.

We're Doodlebug's Children's Boutique, sharing sensory-friendly ideas for home and school.

POV: You're a mom of 3 who also happens to own a children's boutique. 😂🩵

6:30 AM school drop-off. Packing orders. Another school drop-off. Vet appointments. Running the store. Pickup lines. Dinner. Homework. Bedtime. Back to work.

And somewhere in there, an Alani (or two 🤣).

Some days I'm running a business. Some days the business is running ME. 🤷‍♀️

It's not always pretty, it's definitely not organized, and there's a good chance I've forgotten something on my to-do list.

But this is the real life behind Doodlebugs. No big corporate team. Just a mom of three juggling all the things while building something she loves.

Every order, every share, every little bit of support means more than you know. 🩵

Tell me I'm not the only one whose second shift starts when the kids go to bed?! 😂

The benefits of weighted blankets for autism can include calming sensory input, but some kids refuse a blanket. A weighted plush may feel easier to accept: the Happy Hugs bulldog delivers 2.5 pounds of pressure in a familiar, holdable form. A small comfort to try. Our team at Doodlebug's Children's Boutique recommends checking with your child's pediatrician or occupational therapist first if they have a respiratory, circulatory, or seizure condition. And watch how your child responds, comfort should feel safe and welcome.

A roomy toe box can make comfortable footwear for tactile sensitivity feel much easier on little feet.

When toes are squeezed together, pressure can add to the discomfort. Look for a shape that gives each toe space, then check the fit while your child is standing. Measure both feet separately and leave about a half-inch for growth. A little breathing room, without shoes slipping around.

At Doodlebug's Children's Boutique, we know small fit details matter. Try shoes in the afternoon, when feet are largest, and let your child explore the feel at their own pace.

Eco-friendly baby clothing can feel softer on newborn skin when the outfit is tagless, with no sewn-in label rubbing against them.

That small detail matters when you're choosing a cozy footie for a diaper change or a nap. Our Powder Pink Bamboo Convertible Footie is $38.99 and has tagless construction plus a two-way zipper for easier changes. A softer feel, with less fuss at the zipper.

At Doodlebug's Children's Boutique, we look for thoughtful details that make getting dressed more comfortable for little ones.
