We love the Filets from 44 Farms. People ask me where is the best steak in Newport Beach. Not Ocean 48, Not Mastro's Ocean Club, not Fleming's. But our house, thanks to 44 Farms!

As a first time customer, I chose 44 Farms instead of the other two major competitors. I was hoping for a superior cut of meat compared to my local butcher. So, I was willing to pay a premium for that experience. I can not recommend 44 Farms based on the product I received. Two 6 oz filets. One package was not sealed properly leading to oxygen exposure and grey meat, and the other lacked the marbling and taste I was hoping for. I had high hopes for this new experience, ordering the highest quality meats and having those delivered...That was not my experience and I am a one time customer only. TO THEIR CREDIT HOWEVER, 44 Farms has incredibly good communication and they fully honored a replacement as expected. There is great piece of mind in that part of the purchase process. Just not impressed enough to order anything else.

I used to charbroil my steaks but when I have the time. Thaw out your steak in refrigerator overnight. Season with salt and black pepper. Preheat oven to 120F and warm steak on grate for 30 minutes
Heat up a cast iron skillet to high (where butter just starts to smoke. put 3 tablespoons real butter and immediately put steak in pan. Do not touch it . Cook 3 minutes, flip for 3 more minutes. Remove from heat for three minutes
