The HC1 is an expandable, high-powered headphone amp designed specifically for critical studio monitoring.
The HC1's circuit employs parallel amp stages for greater power and lower distortion. This parallel-opamp concept has been known in theory for decades and was put to practical use in Douglas Self's "5532 OpAmplifier" power amplifier.

This was well laid out. I built this in about an hour after never having built out a pcb board. It did take me about $18 to source the xlr, 9 volt input, and pedal housing. It will either stay in my studio or travel on a pedal board as a monitor. First impression of the sound is that it is good. Maybe a bit more transparent than I’m used to.
