Mea Culpa!

I recently purchased my first Peaky Hat—well, technically my second—and this review comes with a rather large apology! When I bought my first one, I was still new to flat caps and had only tried a few from competing makers. I chose a fuller style that simply didn’t work for me. At the time, I didn’t fully understand how a seemingly small difference in shape could make such a huge difference once the cap was actually on my head. To be honest, I still find it difficult to distinguish some of these styles online—not only on the Peaky Hats site, but on most flat-cap websites. Unfortunately, I made one bad choice and rather unfairly decided that Peaky Hats were “the floppy-hat guys.” Mea culpa indeed. Since then, I’ve tried some of their other styles—and I was wholeheartedly wrong. I just picked up the Whitehall, and it has gone straight to the head of the class—and, more importantly, onto my head. My cap collection is growing, with plenty of competition from European makers, but Peaky Hats now ranks right alongside the best of them. I’ll absolutely be adding more Peaky Hats to my collection. Consider me officially converted—and suitably embarrassed!

My daughter liked this one so I bought it for her. Looks even better in person than in the pictures.
