Kona Extra Fancy

Expected Better Quality Control for a Premium Roast I did extensive research to find a highly reputable source for genuine Kona coffee, and I intentionally chose the Kona Extra Fancy to ensure I was getting the absolute best. Given Honolulu Coffee's solid reputation and the premium price point, I was genuinely disappointed by the product that arrived. The ground coffee was full of ground-in chaff from the roasting process. Having experience with unroasted beans and the roasting process myself, I understand the mechanics of it, which makes the lack of quality control here so surprising. I simply would not expect this volume of chaff to make it through into a premium brand's top-tier offering. I am hoping this was just a one-off issue with my specific batch rather than the standard for the Extra Fancy line. I wanted to love this, but unfortunately, my expectations for a high-premium product were completely missed this time around.

Best coffee ive tasted on the island. I love this particular brand. Its smell and deep rich flavor is what I love waking up to. I like it better than the Peaberry because it's more balanced and the brewing method is not as complicated to get the taste you want. The Peaberry always jumps out at you while the Extra Fancy just sneaks up on you smoothly and wraps you up in a euphoria of flavor notes that seem to dance on the tongue. I think ill brew some up right now!!!!!
