It is very quiet and should work, but our dogs are just not a fan of it and have not been able to get them to let us use it on them yet so the commercials are a bit misleading when they say dogs fall asleep while you’re doing it, but the product would work if your dog will let you Dremmel their nails down with it, but our experience has not been great then we will probably be getting a refund
