Not essential, but nice!

Is this essential equipment for home use? No, but it does make life easier the trying to measure sag with a ruler or caliper. For a shop, however, I see this essential. I’ve used this on my families bike. I’ve also been using it to help our local NICA team set up their suspension. My only grip is that the magnets for the rear axle do not fit well in some axles. This isn’t a big deal, as you can just use strap attachment.

Great tool for tuning MTB suspension

High quality kit with everything you need to accurately set the sag on the front and rear shocks. I was surprised at how far off it was using weight formulas to estimate shock pressure to set sag. After setting the correct sag with the slacker, my bike rides so much better—more active on climbs and plush on the descents!

Makes Setting Suspension Straightforward & Consistent

The Slacker made it easy to measure the sag on my mountain bike. It allows me to take consistent measurements over time and make adjustments as necessary. I found the sag on my rear suspension was way too much.
