CP5 Colour Mic Preamp

Very Good

I like the preamp, it has a ton of gain as has been stated over and over, the sound is very clean its nice so much so i do want another one. so as far as the assembly directions not that good, could be a lot better, some things were a guessing game, and i still dont know if they are correct. although its not a difficult build at all, for the price it is definitely worth it, At some point i will even try a color module, I gave it a 4 but really would give it 3 1/2. because of the assembly instructions, also they need to send printed instructions. that would be more professional and without raising the price.

Powerful and so clean mic preamp ! I use it with a pentode or other colour format and sonic density becomes transients sorcery ! I need another one…

Fantastic preamp

Without a colour module this is a pristine clean preamp that has 0 color or character…..and that is the point. It’s the perfect clean slate to use the pallet modules to flavor and build the sound you want for what you need. It’s an extremely versatile system. Fun kit to build as well. This and a color pallet together is a pure win in a 2 port 500 rack.
