Far superior than v1

v1 handlebar end mount kept reliably breaking. It was so frustrating to lean my bike against any wall as the plastic would easily crack or chip. Even just general wear would cause it to decay. The new design is much more simple and sturdy. It is very purpose built and made it easy to attach the firefly minis. Glad they updated it!
