Worth Adding Along with Open Comb 105

Very nice combination this cap with the Open Comb in 105. Some reviews complain about a bit of loss of weight... If we think it through clearly, many of the best razors are 60-70gm because they optimize tactile feedback. Heft is nice, but ultimately - ask an Italian Barber: tactile feedback is stronger with a light razor. They use a lot of light RBSR replaceable blade straight razors - very nice tactile feedback. So, a bit lighter - no worries.

Less material means lighter weight. More pushing.

Paired with the .84 OC baseplate. Feels much lighter resulting in more pushing through my tough whiskers. Seemed to want to skate over them rather than through them. The original cap makes for almost an ideal weight. Still preferable to this comb. That being said, this DOC combo is the still the best one I've tried. More push, yes, but much less bite... like all the rest. Very smooth.

This actually changed the game for my GC

The OC cap was a notable upgrade to my GC. After 3 uses, I tried the normal cap once again and put it up for sale. Great upgrade and there should be an option to add it to the razor stock.
