Olbia

This is a lot of things. If you think of it just as a Klon clone then you are underestimating it. It offers much more. Pairs great with over ODs, and you can definitely use it as an "always on" pedal if that is what you are looking for, but you will need to dial that in since it gives you so much more. However you use it, there is a nice sense of "texture" which it adds in almost all settings. PLUS, it looks great! Yes, a nod to the Klon with the gold (I believe it is called "dark champagne"), but it also brings some Greek visuals to Ukrainian-made pedals produced in Poland! I'm calling this another winner from Drunk Beaver and one which broadens their existing range of offerings very nicely.

This is the best sounding low gain overdrive I have ever gotten my hands on. The gain character is so SMOOTH! It is an elegant and refined sound. The ability to boost the clean signal over and above the gain blend is simply decadent. It adds clarity to the drive without reducing the gain and what it does to a mostly clean tone is so good it is almost sinful. The EQ has a profound impact on not just the frequency content but also the feel of how the pedal responds to your playing. This makes the EQ far more useful than I would have believed possible. I don't usually have the patience for EQ-ing pedals but this one as so intuitive that it felt natural. Also it sounds good no matter where the EQ is set. The lower amount of compression compared to your typical "Mythic" type pedal was a little strange at first but it allowed for more precise control over the compression using your volume knob or a compressor earlier in the pedal chain. It really loved the separate compressor in a way that many pedals do not. This pedal managed to give me both silky singing overdrive and some of the best clean tones I have ever heard. If I were going to have a complaint it would be that the description on the website doesn't make it clear that the Drive knob is the usual "Mythic" pedal drive/clean blend and the Clean know boost the Clean above and beyond that. Honestly that is the most minuscule of gripes. I pride myself on my guitar tone, it is how I make a living. The Oblia came down from the heavens and gave this foolish mortal a lesson on the guitar tone of the Gods!

Hey Vitalii and team I recieved the Olbia only shortly before I was leaving for vacation and was only able to play it for a a few times yet, but what I heard and felt so far was absolutely great. The texture of the drive/distortion is very creamy and it feels so thick and powerful when diggin in, yet with the clean blend you don't loose attack and clarity. This is exactly what I was looking for for my kind of playing style. It seems to pair well with my Jazzmaster. I will test it further upon my return, looking forward,,,
