Surfacing or leveling your material is a must, and this flat-bottom carbide insert is the perfect tool. Two 1/2” square inserts create a full 1” bottom cutting diameter. If the cut is not smooth, rotate the two inserts one-quarter turn; you have a new cutter. This can be done a total of four times.
