Rincon 2P Tent

The Rincon 2P is an awesome tent! Easy to set up, light, and the ability to run a stove. I need that with living in Alaska. I also got the half insert to help with bugs and love it.

Good overall tent I was happy with. Slept 2 guys and packs but it was pretty tight doing that and we are both shorter guys. If you are taller i dont know how well this tent would work for you. Also we got stuck in a bad storm with pretty hard rain and the rain did actually blow straight through the fabric but we didn’t get soaked still and it was a pretty abnormal rain. We had rain every day on my recent trip and stayed dry in those events so the tent held up well. The tent is easy and quick to put up and take down as well.

Not used in the field yet, however, initial set

Not used in the field yet, however, upon initial set up I am impressed. Everything appears high quality fit and finish. Set up is dead easy; especially when compared to lightweight non-freestanding backpacking tents. I have a Dyneema ultralight tent and I still prefer Silpoly for its packability. The Rincon can compress down to an absurdly small package, about a softball in size, if not smaller. Wish there was a touch more headroom, but that would have to sacrifice the single trekking pole pitch, which was a feature I want/need; compromise. Looking forward to using it for elk hunt next week! Will update once used.
