★★★★★ 5/5 — Surplus Strength Stealth Spotter Arms: Built Like a Tank
One of the best safety upgrades I’ve made to my home gym. I installed the Surplus Strength Stealth Spotter Arms on my Rogue Monster RM-6 rack, and the build quality, engineering, and attention to detail are outstanding.
These spotter arms are incredibly robust, with a clean, low-profile design that integrates beautifully with my rack. The substantial steel construction, secure mounting system, and protective contact surfaces inspire confidence when training with heavy loads.
What really sets these apart is the thoughtful design. They provide the protection I want for heavy squats and bench presses without unnecessarily cluttering my rack or interfering with my training setup. The red finish also looks fantastic alongside my Rogue equipment.
As someone who trains alone and regularly handles heavy weights, I consider reliable safety equipment essential. I’ve invested extensively in my home gym, and these spotter arms are exactly the kind of premium, purpose-built equipment I appreciate.
Bottom line: Exceptional craftsmanship, intelligent engineering, and an excellent addition to a serious strength-training setup. Surplus Strength has earned a permanent place in my gym.
Five stars. Highly recommended.

Excellent craftsmanship. So good that they inspire me to focus on lifting with great form when using them. I’m confident going to absolute failure with these beside me.
It was an expensive purchase, but I’m very happy with these. They fit great inside a 30” rack. They go on nice and tight on a rogue 3 x 3. Dimensions (width, depth, length) are all in a true sweet spot for me. You won’t regret the purchase.

If these spotter arms had a run in with a tank, I'd feel sorry for the tank. One overlooked aspect of these arms is probably the ability to use a bolt and a knurled nut from the side to really lock them into place (see photo where I'm using a Frogfits mag bolt and nut) versus only using a mag-pin from the rear. Honestly I'm not actually sure why all the 1" pins on rack attachments aren't threaded for a knurled nut to snug them up on a rack. Bit of a wait to get them, but these are the last spotter arms I'll likely ever need or want. Awesome!
