Very smooth
I tried this for something different since I really like the Lunch Counter halfcaf. Even though it is regular coffee I found the flavor very nice and very smooth. It sat well on my stomach and seemed less acidic than most coffee brands I have tried. Will enjoy my package of Guatamala Ella and will probably order it again 😁

Excellent flavor, freshness and service!
As someone making espresso at home for almost 40 years, I've tried quite a few coffee roasters across the west. We currently live in the Wood River Valley, in the mountains of south central Idaho, and have been looking to find a roaster like Snake River. I've found some great coffee for my espresso machine over the years and a few duds. Snake River was a joy to discover. First of all, espresso shots pull best on our home E61 machine from approximately 4 to 14 days after roasting. Too soon, and the shot can be a little "gassy". After about 14 days the flavor slowly fades. Snake River makes the extra effort to get the beans to you (via mail) quickly after roasting so you can rotate their coffee into your routine when it is at its optimum. Not all roasters make this extra effort. My wife and I prefer Guatemala from the Huehuetenango area for our espresso, and the Ella blend provides us a consistent, sweet, thick pull for our 22g triple shots. Consistency is especially important to the home espresso maker, as we are not pulling shot after shot - like in a shop, so we can waste coffee if the pulls are not reliably consistent day to day. It's also important to us that Snake River offers 2lbs and 5lbs bags of beans, as we mail order and these are more efficient sizes for our needs. We will be definitely coming back for more.
