Excellent
I bought this because it is repairable which is very rare these days. Having said that it claims to have a life span of ten to 30 years so, hopefully it will last at least ten years which is also very rare these days. At £200 it is not cheap but if I get ten years out of it, it works out value for money, if I get more than ten years out of it, it's a bargin, either way I am happy and then it's repairable. I am sick of buying toasters and paying £50 or £60 that stop working afer two or 3 years andvit is alway just as the gaureentee runs out. I think they call it built in obsolence. I like the fact that it is made in the UK and not in China, it makes lovely toast and it looks really good too, plus it makes toasties, what's not to like?

Lovely looking toaster, timer a little intrusive though!
I know this is a “Retro” piece of kitchen equipment but I didn’t realise that the timer mechanism would be quite so noisy. It’s the first toaster I’ve ever owned that makes such a clockwork/ wind-up sound and not something that I remember reading about in the marketing information? Having said that, it works just fine and I guess we’ll get used to the sound, along with the “whisper-quiet” kettle and the coffee machine all adding to the breakfast cacophony!
