We love our new bike
My son used the balance bike for 2 years.
He is turning 3.5 years old soon and I got him the Alpha two. Omg, people in the neighborhood are surprised by the fact that he can pedal at this age.
It took him around 2 days from when we received the bike for him to get adjusted with the balance on the bigger bike to pedaling. He loves it.
It is definitely not cheap, but I would recommend to any parents, who can afford it, to get the balance bike for his kid. It makes life so much easier.
Getting a balance bike, then a bike without training wheels is definitely a life saver. You do not have to spend so much time teaching your child how to ride a bike with training wheels. Of course, regardless of what you choose your child will learn to ride a bike one day. It is just a matter of how much time as a parent you want to invest into teaching your child how to ride a bike.
Con: The only issue, which I have seen in other comments as well, with the two bikes I got from Prevelo so far, they easily get scratched. Not a deal breaker for me.
Thank you to the Prevelo team for this awesome bike.

Worth the Investment
Yes these bikes tend to be pricier then a normal bike you can find in stores, but I will absolutely be purchasing again in the future. The quality of everything really shows. We decided to get some of the bells and whistles, and that was worth it as well for our little 4 year old guy. The bike is lightweight enough that a little toddler/preschooler can handle it just fine. Our little guy was coming off of using a balance bike for the past 1.5 years and within 5-10 mins took off on his own now using pedals and learning the easy brake system. It was amazing to say the least. He now requests to go bike riding every day as often as he can and he has just been loving his bike. Thank you to the Prevelo team for caring to make a great, well thought out bike for our little ones!
