Iwakura (磐座) is a stone-milled, first harvest matcha from Uji, Kyoto, blended from Yabukita, Samidori, Gokou, and Saemidori cultivars. Traditional granite milling preserves its color, aroma, and delicate flavor. The cup is well-balanced with a clean depth, and the powder is extremely fine — whisking smoothly with almost no sediment. Uji Matcha Iwakura
If I were to describe it in 3 words it would be: BALANCED, CREAMY & SMOOTH 🫶🏻
Personal Reviews: (Matcha Lattes)
• I tried this matcha first with dairy milk, without any sweetener and syrup and it brought an interesting flavor profile! It was somewhat flowery 🌸 Like I could not explain how that happened but I actually enjoyed it ? It was a different experience!
• Next, I tried it with oat milk. For this one, I also did not add any sweetener or syrup. I like my matchas unsweetened! So, it really brought that umami & nutty flavor which I absolutely love! 💗 It has little to no astringency. I liked this better!
