The Baratza Forté-AP is the rare grinder that refuses to compromise. Equipped with precision 54mm ceramic flat burrs, grind-by-weight and grind-by-time modes, and stepless macro/micro adjustment, it moves seamlessly from pulling espresso shots at 2E to dosing 80 grams for pour-over at 10A, without skipping a beat. I have an older Baratza (Maestro plus) that I use to grind cold brew so I was pretty sure I'd like the Forte. I just got interested in learning to brew espresso and bought a nice entry level machine. The Forte will serve me well when I decide to upgrade to a 'prosumer' level espresso machine in a year or two. Very nice grinder and good 'fit and finish' with the convenience of being able to measure both by time and weight. I use the weight measurement most often because it's more accurate when switching between beans, but the timed grind goes right into the portafilter which is great too.

Best money ever spent for espresso. I thought I had a decent grinder before but now I realize. Well built, solid grinder. As with any grinder, need to run it while shifting to a finer macro grind, so I've had to get used to wasting some coffee grinds. Based upon my pre-purchase research though, this grinder doesn't 'retain' a lot when changing beans or settings. We do this often, using both the portafilter and basket dispensing.

Baratza support is phenomenal
The machine is incredible. Clive support has a lot to be desired. Had an issue with settings and the response I got was something to the effect "what a great question. You need to call Baratza support". I did. Baratza is everything that Clive Coffee is not. The support team is phenomenal.
