Item great if only it didn’t jangle

Weight balance, knurling, overall appearance of the bar is great. However, unlike any of my other bars the collars have enough play internally that the bar clanks when you set it down or move it quickly. I even took off the end cap to see if the little metal disc was the only thing moving, but it seems the tolerance is off on something larger internally. Shame because other than that it’s a great training bar.

Excellent Technique Bar!

I bought this lightweight bar for my children. They are in junior high and have recently become interested in physical training. This bar allows my kids to use a classic form factor barbell with lightweight plates as I coach their power lifts. It is long enough to be racked (you should be fine to use this in your rack, but make sure you measure your equipment anyway). Shipping was instantaneous--I swear! The bar was packaged in a appropriately robust tube AND it was simple to unpack. ...mighty fine for included shipping. I received the barbell in pristine condition. The bar's knurling is very nice, wonderful really! It's so nice that the kids will not have to use chalk (less mess in my house). I like matte finish of this barbell. If I could change anything, I would add a center knurl (for squats). That's not even a criticism, I've squatted with and without a center knurl. There are many other things on which to focus when squatting besides center knurl--or lack thereof. This type of bar is a necessary component for small or frail novices. It will also appeal to anyone who wants a lightweight bar. I looked around quite a bit and concluded this was a top tier choice based on form factor, capacity, quality, and shipping. Get it!

Wanted to purchase a training bar for the last year and the recent discount helped me pull the trigger!!!! Love it for perfecting my skills without concern of injury! Quality is great and now I have no excuse for not doing the work!!!!
