FLAT PUSHDOWN BAR, LAT & TRICEPS

Worth Buying

Just like another reviewer, I was not initially intending to buy the 28" attachment after first buying the 20" tricep / lat bar. I thought my round diameter lat bar was sufficient for stiff-armed lat pulldowns. I was wrong. I did an experiment by comparing how I did with the lat bar vs. the 20" flat bar. I was able to use more weight and get more reps with the 20" flat bar. So I ordered the 28" flat bar to get at the lats and upper back muscles. I thought the experience at the bottom of the concentric phase of reps during using the flat bar would cause the edge to possibly dig into my hands due to the arc of the movement. Actually, the effect is that the palm presses continuously against the flat of the steel not perfectly flush, but sufficiently against to prevent digging into the edge. I consider it a functional route in comparison / consistence to swimming, as swimmers use their palms to do a similar action, while doing pulls of a swimmer's stroke. Look at their (swimmer's) lats. My plan is to use dumbbell cross bench pullovers for the stretch phase of the rep. The rest of the range of movement can be trained, while doing stiff-armed pulldowns with the 28" flat bar. I find it to be a nice distance apart in width. Enjoy training. I definitely recommend this product.

I LOVE this attachment.

FLAT PUSHDOWN BAR, LAT & TRICEPS is an amazing lat attachment and really does a great job targeting the lats. Mario has amazing customer service. The shorter one is also awesome and i bought that one thinking i wouldn't need the other one but i am really glad i got them both because they really do different movements. I have many of Mario's products and every time he has been great to deal with. I would recommend both.

Great bar and top quality finish

Purchased this for some different tricep variations. Looked at several but decided to go with this one for the quality of build and finish. Definitely happy with the purchase and will look forward to getting a few more attachments!
